Bengaluru traffic police Issues Advisory for krishna Janmashtami

In preparation for krishna Janmashtami on Monday, Bengaluru’s traffic police have released a new advisory to manage the expected increase in traffic. The guidelines, issued on Saturday, detail road restrictions and alternative routes to ensure smooth traffic flow during the festival.

The advisory, effective from 8 a.m. on august 26 to 6 a.m. on august 27, outlines specific traffic arrangements for the Devasandra Main Road area, where the Sri Venugopala Swamy temple is located. This falls under the jurisdiction of the K.R. Pura traffic police Station.

Key points from the advisory include:
Road Restrictions: All vehicular movement will be banned on Devasandra Main Road.

Alternative Routes:
For vehicles heading towards Devasandra and K.R. Pura Market from Kodigehalli and Hoodi Main Road: Turn right at Jai bhuvaneshwari Junction near Lulu’s Bakery and travel via Ayyappanagar Main Road, Basavanapura Main Road, and Bhattarahalli Junction.
For vehicles traveling from K.R. Pura Market side towards Kodigehalli and Hoodi Main Road: Turn right at GRT and proceed through Basavanapura Main Road (Krishna Talkies Road) and pass through Bhattarahalli Junction.


The traffic department urges the public to cooperate with these arrangements to ensure the festivities go smoothly.This year’s Janmashtami celebrations will commemorate Lord Krishna’s 5251st birth anniversary.
