What is the state of the country? Why do those who defend the law take it upon themselves to enforce it? The recent tragedy that occurred has shocked the entire country, and it shows how violent and vicious individuals can be in this day and age. Except for those in positions of power, nobody is benefiting from the passage of time. In this situation, guys are not protected either, just women.
 
In a recent incident in Araria, Bihar, a man who was apprehended while stealing a motorcycle had red chili powder injected into his rectum. As a result of this episode, the authorities believed they were in charge of punishing the criminal and imposed their own punishment on him.
 
It is plainly cruel and against the law; there is no written legislation allowing authorities to act in this way on their own. Any reasonable person would have been shocked by what would have transpired in a hypothetical situation where we believed the robber to be a woman rather than a guy. It is very abhorrent to physically harm someone to that degree, and it is highly dubious why society has descended to the point where anyone can do anything to anyone.
