Troubles increased for accused of beating up an old man?


Recently, in Nashik, Maharashtra, several people beat up an old man from a particular community in an express train. The passengers who tortured the old man suspected that there was beef in his tiffin. An FIR was registered in this case and three people were taken into custody, but the magistrate released them on Sunday. Currently, on Monday, after imposing supplementary charges on the three accused, the magistrate cancelled their bail.


In fact, AIMIM spokesperson Waris Pathan  on his social media platform X, "The miscreants who had beaten up the elderly Haji Ashraf ali in the train were released by the magistrate on bail bond. After imposing supplementary charges, the magistrate cancelled the bail of those three miscreants and ordered the police to take them into custody again." Let us tell you that in this case, thane police has added intentionally using words to hurt the religious feelings of another person (Section 302 of BNS) and using deadly weapon while committing robbery or dacoity or causing serious injury to a person (Section 311 of BNS). If found guilty in these cases, the minimum punishment is seven years.


What is the whole case?

The victim, 72-year-old Ashraf ali Syed, a resident of Kalyan, was going to his daughter's house in Malegaon by Dhule Express train on august 28. He also had some luggage during this journey. The accused suspected that there was beef in his luggage. After this, the accused started questioning him by searching his luggage. During this, the accused started abusing him and then started beating him. In relation to this incident, the co-passengers made a video and made it viral on social media.

When this video went viral, GRP searched for the elderly person and contacted him to lodge a complaint, but initially he was not ready. After this, the Assistant police Inspector of thane Railway police station went to the house of the complainant's daughter and recorded the statement in front of the complainant. In connection with the incident, thane GRP registered an FIR against 4-5 passengers for beating an elderly passenger in a moving train.
