The information about losses of 35 out of a total of 55 hotels of himachal pradesh Tourism Development Corporation was received from the state government during the monsoon session of himachal pradesh Assembly. In this context, opposition member Sukhram Chaudhary had asked a question to the state government. In the answer to starred question- 1950 on Tuesday, the state government has given information about the hotels running in profit and loss. It is worth noting that in himachal pradesh, the tourism department is with the Chief Minister, while the responsibility of the tourism corporation has been given to Raghubir Singh Bali as chairman with cabinet rank.

The number of hotels facing losses has increased in 6 months

Now, only 20 hotels of the Tourism Development Corporation in the state are profitable, while the corporation is facing losses on the other 35.
