Still, india is becoming the favorite destination of the world's big companies. By 2030, 620 of the forbes Global 2000 companies are going to start their bases in India. Till now, offshore workstations of the world's big companies have been established in india, these are called Global Capability Centers, they are providing employment to about 12-13 lakh people. This is revealed by the latest ANSR report. These Global Capability Centers are IT based workstations. In india, 825 centers of 450 out of forbes Global 2000 companies have already started working here. The reason for their opening in large numbers in india is the easy availability of skilled and specialized workforce in AI, data analytics and cyber security.
Bangalore has become a champion in terms of setting up Global Capability Centers (GCC) of big companies of the world in India. Out of forbes Global 2000 companies, 285 GCCs have been set up in Bangalore. Five lakh sixty thousand professionals are working in these. After this comes Hyderabad. Global Capability Centers of 110 companies have been set up here. One lakh ninety thousand professionals work in these. Due to state of the art infrastructure and business friendly government policy, Bangalore and hyderabad are becoming big locations for reaching talent pool. Ahmedabad, Visakhapatnam, Trivandrum, Kolkata, coimbatore and bhubaneswar are also emerging as favorite destinations of GCC.
Increasing multi city operations by 45 percent
According to ANSR report, not only big players but also mid-market players and small enterprises are making their base in India. ANSR is a company that helps companies set up and maintain GCC. 45% of the companies that have already set up GCC workstations here are expanding their multi-city operations.
