The new year has brought happiness for indian employees. According to a new report, in the year 2025, there will be a huge increment of workers in many different sectors of the country. HR consulting firm Mercer prepared a report based on the total remuneration survey. It found that the salary of employees in india has increased continuously in the last five years. It is estimated to be up to 9.4 percent in 2025 as compared to 8 percent in 2020.

Salary will increase in every sector: Report

According to the report, salary increase of up to 9.4 percent in all sectors reflects the strong economic growth of the country and the increasing demand for skilled talent. The automotive sector has been placed at the top of this list. In this sector, salary has been estimated to increase from 8.8 percent to 10 percent. The credit for this goes to the increasing demand for electric vehicles in the country and the 'Make in India' initiative of the government of India.

Workers' salary will increase in this sector too

Manufacturing and engineering is second on the list. The salary of workers working in this sector can increase by 8 to 9.7 percent, which reflects the growth of the manufacturing ecosystem.

1,550 companies participated in the survey

More than 1,550 companies from different sectors of the country participated in this survey of Mercer, including technology, life sciences, financial services, consumer goods, manufacturing and automotive. The report also revealed that 37 percent of organizations plan to increase the number of employees in 2025, which reflects the increasing demand for talent across the country. During this period, layoffs in companies are also expected to remain stable at 11.9 percent. Mansi Singhal, Career leader at Mercer india, while talking to news agency PTI, said, the talent landscape of the country is going through a crucial phase of change. 75 percent of the organizations are adopting pay plans based on better work. Due to this, in this competitive market, companies are giving priority to attracting and retaining talent.
