A delegation of Samajwadi party watched kangana ranaut starrer film 'Emergency' based on the Emergency imposed during the congress rule in the year 1975. The delegation expressed dissatisfaction over the film and said that it failed to show the struggles of the socialist movement. 'Emergency' is directed and co-produced by kangana Ranaut. She has played the role of former prime minister Indira gandhi in the film.
The film was released in theaters on Friday. National Award winning actress Ranaut is also a bjp Lok Sabha member from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. Expressing dissatisfaction over the film, senior SP leader and Legislative Council member Rajendra Chaudhary said that it failed to show the struggles of the socialist movement. Chaudhary said, 'I would like to tell the ruling party to watch this film. They should see what the misuse of power can do.' He said, 'Those who are in power today should not forget that power keeps changing. Democracy should be respected and the power that they have got should be stopped from being misused. He said, “Those who fought for the country's independence and then during the Emergency should be respected. The country will never forget those who misused power arbitrarily.”

Regarding the film, the Samajwadi party leader said, “I do not completely agree with the film, but I definitely believe that the country had faced the Emergency, people were tortured, people were put in jail. He said, “I myself was in jail. I say that this was a declared emergency, but sometimes such things happen even in an undeclared emergency and we should avoid it.”
The delegation included SP spokesperson Fakhrul Hasan Chand, Ashutosh Verma, Juhi Singh, former city vice-president naveen Dhawan, Madhukar, Daddan Khan, Gyaneshwar prasad Pandey, Devendra Singh Yadav 'Jitu'. Let us tell you that on the first day, the ticket of this film was available for 99 rupees.
