Recently, sudha Murthy showcased her simplicity once more by traveling to Prayagraj for the maha Kumbh. At that time, she carried only a small bag slung over her shoulder, a stark contrast to the typical billionaires and major business figures who often travel with numerous bags and excess baggage. 


Experience of attending maha Kumbh 


Speaking with the media upon her arrival at the maha Kumbh, sudha Murthy expressed, "This is a very significant moment for me as I arrive at the sacred site of Prayagraj to be part of the maha Kumbh. This maha Kumbh is taking place after 144 years, and I am filled with excitement and joy." She noted that she plans to attend the maha Kumbh for three days. 


Wealth of narayana murthy and sudha Murthy 


Narayan Murthy, sudha Murthy's husband, boasts a net worth of approximately $5 billion (around Rs 36,690 crore). Nevertheless, the couple adheres to a very unpretentious lifestyle despite their riches. Interestingly, sudha Murthy has not purchased a new saree from her own income for the past 30 years, opting instead for simple sarees. 


There is a special reason behind this choice. During her visit to Kashi, sudha Murthy made a promise to renounce her beloved possessions. Although sarees were very dear to her, since then she has not purchased even her favorite ones. Most of her sarees have been given to her as gifts.
