Changing lanes at three places in noida can now be costly. Actually, the traffic police will soon implement lane driving on three major routes. A fine of Rs 1500 will have to be paid for violating this rule. Actually, in noida, one will not be able to change lanes at the Charkha roundabout near Amity university, Garden Galleria Mall to Film City and the place for feeding birds near Dalit Prerna Sthal. This step is being taken so that the problem of jam can be dealt with.

Cameras will be installed for monitoring

Regarding this new rule, DCP Traffic Lakhan Singh Yadav said that there is heavy traffic at these three places throughout the day and there is a possibility of jam especially during peak hours. DCP Yadav further said that the noida Authority will develop lane-changing zones about 500 meters ahead of these points, where passengers can change lanes. Cameras will also be installed to monitor violations and issue challans. Officials said that the ITMS cameras installed on the expressway are not able to monitor such violations right now, so the process of updating the cameras is underway.

Traffic remains here

At the Charkha roundabout on the noida Expressway, traffic coming from Sectors 125, 126 and 128 and traffic from Amity university towards Kalindi Kunj, Sarita vihar and Jamia nagar come together, causing traffic congestion. The bird feeding area near Dalit Prerna Sthal receives traffic from the expressway towards Chilla Border, Film City Flyover and places like Sector 18 and DLF Mall. drivers often change lanes here at the last moment, causing traffic to slow down. The stretch from Garden Galleria to Film City Road covers traffic from Botanical Garden, GIP Mall and Sector 18 towards noida Expressway, Greater noida, Chilla Border and DND Flyway.
