Women's ears are much sharper than men's!
You must have often heard people jokingly say that women's ears are much sharper. But you will be surprised to know that this thing said jokingly is absolutely true. Actually, a study published in Scientific Reports has shown that men and women listen differently. Women's hearing ability is more sensitive than men's. There have been many shocking revelations in this study. Research has shown that women's hearing ability is better than men in every case, be it age or any place.
What does the research say?
According to the findings of the study, women's hearing ability is on average about two decibels better than men's hearing ability. This study has been done among different environments and age groups, which has proved to be true. Let us tell you that in this study, the hearing ability of 448 healthy adults from 13 different groups of five countries was examined. This study included adults living in rural, urban and high altitude areas, which had a lot of diversity according to the research. The results of this research clearly showed that women's hearing ability is better than that of men. Research has proved that women are able to hear all types of sounds better.
Biological Differences
According to research, this is a sign of a universal biological feature in women, which potentially causes subtle differences in the structure of the inner ear or perhaps hormonal differences. The surprising thing is that even though people's hearing ability decreases with age, women's hearing ability is still much better than that of men of their age group. A small pattern was seen in this research that the right ear was slightly more sensitive than the left ear.
