

Tourists flock to the Tulip Garden, set a great record!
A record number of tourists have arrived in Asia's largest tulip garden in srinagar this time in just two weeks. The department has said that the indira gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden has surpassed last year's record number of tourists within just 15 days of the ongoing Tulip Show 2025. According to an official release, 4,46,154 tourists visited the garden during the entire tulip season last year. The Tulip Garden was opened to the general public on march 26 this year and is expected to remain open till april 25.
Great achievement for Tulip Garden
This great achievement is a new milestone for Asia's largest tulip garden, which currently has 1.7 million tulip bulbs in 74 vibrant varieties. With several days left for the show, the garden is on its way to achieving unprecedented visitor attendance. This increase in the number of tourists highlights the growing global appeal of the garden and its important role in promoting tourism as well as showcasing the natural grandeur of Jammu and Kashmir.
Tulip Garden opened to the public on march 26
It is worth noting that with 1.7 million bulbs, the garden was opened to the general public on march 26. Two more varieties are being imported from the netherlands this year in the famous indira gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden. 100 gardeners and daily wage labourers have worked hard to complete all the processes and make the garden ready for the public.
Place in World Book of Records London
On the opening day (March 26), the garden witnessed an overwhelming response from tourists. It recorded an unprecedented number of 17,259 visitors, creating a new record. It is worth mentioning here that the Tulip Garden located in the summer capital has secured a place in the World Book of Records (London) as Asia's largest tulip garden in 2023. In 2024, Asia's largest tulip garden witnessed an extraordinary rise in tourism with 4.45 lakh visitors visiting to see its vibrant flowers, of which around 2,000 were from abroad.
