The accused is in police custody
The police have traced the location of the caller and the mumbai Crime Branch took the caller into custody from Borivali. The call came around 2:30 pm on Tuesday.
What did the accused say on the phone?
Actually, a call was received at the mumbai police Control Room, in which the accused claimed, "I am from D (Dawood) gang and there will be explosions in Mumbai." After this he suddenly disconnected the phone. After this call from the caller, senior officials were immediately informed, after which mumbai police immediately swung into action.
Borivali's Suraj Jadhav had made the call
Taking the threat seriously, the police immediately traced the caller and took him into custody from Borivali area. The accused has been identified as Borivali resident Suraj Jadhav. police officials revealed that Jadhav had made a similar fake phone call a few months ago, warning of bomb blasts in Mumbai. He was arrested at that time too.
