There is no dearth of talent in India. There are examples of this from time to time. In 2016, one such example was presented by Sikanto Mandal, a class 10 student. His machine Swachhata Kart, made for cleanliness, won everyone's heart. Even the country's President ram nath kovind had praised Sikanto.

After coming into the limelight, Sikanto got respect and respect on many forums. Pictures were printed in newspapers and news  also  appeared on TV. But today this promising boy of the country and his family is forced to live a life of misery. Living in a rented house in mathura, Sikanto's family is making their living. Sikanto has also joined a small job so that he can complete his graduation and help his family.

The conversation with the Sikantas started with his name. There was a different kind of curiosity about his name. He was asked where he was originally from. But the father came to mathura in search of work and then settled here. That's why I grew up in mathura itself. Sikanto tells that he was born in a very poor family. His father drove a rickshaw and worked as a daily wage laborer to send him to school. Even today, he lives in a rented house and is making a living.

When and how did the idea of making a 'Swachhta Cart' come about?

In response to this question, Sikanto recalls his old days and says that it is a matter of 2016. He used to study in 9th standard. He used to study in a school where fees were not charged from economically weaker children. He just had to keep the cleanliness of the place where he used to sit and study. During this, a thought came to his mind that why not make something that would make it easier to clean.

He further shared his idea with his science teacher. Impressed by Sikanto, his teacher helped him and told him that he should participate in the 'Inspire Award' competition to be held at the school level. Sicanto took this seriously and was able to impress the panel. As a result, he was given 5000 rupees to make his machine.

Garbage lifting machine made from cycle junk

According to Sikanto, this amount was very less for the machine. That's why he bought the necessary things  from it and used the rest of his mind. He used bicycle junk to make his machine and surprised everyone with his work. Let me tell you, this was only the beginning. Sikanto's model also got a place in the state and national level exhibition.

In the year 2016 in the national level exhibition held in Delhi, 60 children's models of the country were selected, among them Sekanto's mobile garbage collecting device was also included. A company also gave 1 lakh rupees to Sikanto to make this machine. After the selection of the machine, Sikanto got a chance to go to Japan.

He got a chance to present his machine to President ram Nath Kovind. The President was happy with his work and patted him on the back. akshay kumar was also impressed by him and was given 5 lakh rupees. Knowing all this, it seemed for a moment that Sikanto's life would have changed. But Sikanto broke this illusion.

Today Sikanto's family is living a 'life of destitution'

At present, my family and I are fascinated by money. I am in the last year of graduation. I can complete my studies. For this I have joined a job. father is already running the house by working as a laborer. The mother living in a small rented house hopes that her son will one day become a scientist. I am trying. I know it is not easy without money. But still I want to try. Just keep loving you all.
