Those traveling in the women's coach are in trouble!

delhi Metro has started a special campaign to stop illegal entry of male passengers in women's coach. Under this campaign, which has been running since august 27, the entry of male passengers in women's coach will be checked on weekdays. Ten flying squads have been deployed for this. These include Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), delhi Metro rail Police (DMRP) and DMRC personnel.

Strict action will be taken if instructions are not followed

DMRC's Principal Executive director Anuj Dayal, while giving information about this campaign to ABP Live, said that these squads will keep an eye on unauthorized entry or misbehavior of male passengers in women's coach and will conduct surprise inspections throughout the day. Principal Executive director Anuj Dayal said that this will ensure that women passengers feel safe and comfortable while traveling in the metro. He said that during this time, those who are found violating the rules and disobeying the instructions of the flying squads will be fined Rs 250. During this time, those passengers who refuse to pay the fine and also disobey the instructions of the flying squads will be deboarded from the metro train and handed over to the delhi Metro rail Police.

32 male passengers fined

Anuj Dayal said that on the first day of this campaign, a total of 108 male passengers were persuaded and deboarded from the women's coach, while 32 male passengers were fined Rs 250 under the delhi Metro (O&M) Act. DMRC has run such campaigns earlier also to ensure the safety of women.

Complain here on misbehavior

He said that if any male passenger boards the women's coach unauthorisedly or misbehaves with women, then the aggrieved female passenger can report it on DMRC's 24X7 helpline number 155370. DMRC has appealed to male passengers and said that the first coach of all metro trains is reserved only for women passengers, hence they are advised not to travel in the women's coach of the metro.
