HCL founder Shiv Nadar has handed over his 47 percent stake in HCL Corp and Vama delhi to his daughter Roshni Nadar Malhotra as his successor. According to Fortune India, with this, Roshni will be responsible for all the major decisions of this $12 billion tech company.

After this decision of her father, Roshni Nadar has become the largest shareholder of Vama delhi and HCL Corp. With this, she will also get control of the voting rights related to Vama Delhi's 44.17 percent stake in the company and HCL Corp's 0.17 percent stake. Apart from this, she will also get voting rights on Vama Delhi's 12.94 percent stake in HCL Infosystems and HCL Corp's 49.94 percent stake. Before this transfer, Shiv Nadar held 51 per cent stake in Vama delhi and HCL Corp, while Roshni Nadar Malhotra held 10.33 per cent stake.
Who is Roshni Nadar?
According to the website of Shiv Nadar Foundation, Roshni Nadar Malhotra is the chairperson of Vama delhi and also the chairperson of its CSR board committee. She is also a trustee of the Shiv Nadar Foundation, which has built many big schools and colleges in the country. She is also the founder and trustee of Habitats Trust, which conserves India's natural habitats and endangered species.
Before joining HCL, she has also worked as a news producer. After getting a graduate degree in Communications from Northwestern University, she did her MBA from Kellogg school of Management. She completed her schooling from Vasant Valley school in Delhi. Roshni Nadar is the only daughter of Shiv Nadar and kiran Nadar. She has been working as the CEO of HCL Corp since 2013. She got married in 2009 and her husband's name is Shikhar Malhotra. Roshni and Shikhar also have two children.
