The head of the pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, has stated that the women's side from pakistan will not be going to india for the ICC Women's ODI world cup later this year.

After accepting the hybrid model agreement earlier this year, Naqvi affirmed that pakistan will play its matches at a neutral location. Since india is hosting, the PCB chairman affirmed that they will choose a neutral venue and the pakistan women's team will travel there to play their matches.

"Everything will take place as agreed upon. Since they are the hosts, india will choose the venue for the game.  Our team will go and play wherever they choose.  However, the Pakistani squad would not visit India.  Naqvi told media at LCCA Ground during the pakistan vs. bangladesh ICC Women's world cup qualifier that "since there is an agreement, it has to be adhered to."

India hasn't visited pakistan since 2008, when they played in the Asia Cup, because of the two countries' tense political ties. The two bitter rivals last engaged in a bilateral series of white-ball matches in india in 2012–2013.  Since then, india and pakistan have mostly played each other in the Asia Cup and ICC events.

Because of the geopolitical circumstances between the two nations, india declined to cross the border when pakistan hosted the Champions Trophy in February.  The Champions Trophy 2025 hosting rights problem was ultimately settled by the international Cricket Council (ICC), which decided that pakistan and another neutral location will host the competition.  It was also announced that all ICC events in the 2024–2027 cycle, which would take place in either india or pakistan, will use the hybrid model.

Pakistan's women's team qualified for the main event after winning the ICC Women's ODI world cup Qualifiers without losing.  Pakistan qualified for the world cup by hosting the qualifiers and winning all five games.  The aspirations of Ireland, Scotland, the West Indies, and thailand to compete in the event were dashed when bangladesh became the second team to qualify.

The competition, which will take place from september 26 to november 2, has already qualified England, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and india (hosts).
