Madhya Pradesh’s richest mla Sanjay Satyendra Pathak filed his nomination from Vijayraghavgarh seat
of Katni district on thursday (26 October). Sanjay Pathak is expected to be the richest among the
candidates contesting the elections this time too. According to the affidavit filed along with the nomination
papers, Sanjay Pathak and his wife Nidhi Pathak have movable and immovable assets worth more than Rs
200 crore. Sanjay Pathak’s assets have decreased in comparison to the last election.
BJP candidate Sanjay Pathak also owns an airplane along with several iron and marble mines. A case of
assault and abuse is also registered against him. Sanjay Pathak and his wife have total movable and
immovable assets worth Rs 201 crore 61 lakh 64 thousand 452 crore. According to the election affidavit,
Sanjay Pathak has a loan of Rs 11 crore 78 lakh and his wife Nidhi Pathak has a loan of Rs 7 crore 66 lakh.
Case registered under these sections
Along with this, a case of assault, abuse and threatening to kill (Section 294, 232, 365, 366 and 506 Part 2
IPC) has also been registered against mla Sanjay Pathak. On the complaint of non-applicant ravi Gupta,
the district court of Katni had registered the case on 4 september 2023 and ordered to transfer it to the
MP-MLA Special court in Gwalior. At present, madhya pradesh high court has banned any kind of action
in this matter.
