Causative Agents:
Dengue – dengue fever is caused by dengue virus. Which is spread in humans by the bite of infected ADG mosquitoes.
Malaria – Malaria is caused by the Plasmodium parasite. Especially Plasmodium falciparum, Plasmodium vivax, Plasmodium malariae or Plasmodium ovale. These parasites are spread by the bite of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes.
Geographical Distribution:
Dengue- dengue occurs in tropical and subtropical regions around the world. Especially in small and big cities.
Malaria- Malaria is found in many parts of the world, especially in tropical and subtropical regions of Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Malaria is more common in rural areas.
Symptoms"
Symptoms of dengue include high fever, severe headache, joint and muscle pain, rash, pain behind the eyes, and mild bleeding. In some cases, dengue can develop severely. Called dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) or dengue shock syndrome (DSS), it can be life-threatening. Symptoms of malaria include fever, chills, headache, fatigue, muscle pain, nausea, and vomiting. In severe cases, malaria can cause anemia, jaundice, and organ failure. If left untreated at the right time, it can become fatal.
Treatment:
Dengue Treatment- There is no specific antiviral treatment for dengue fever. Medicine for fever and pain is given. Supplements are given to prevent dehydration. Relaxation advice is included. In severe cases of dengue, the patient needs to be admitted to the hospital.
Malaria Treatment - It is a medicine for the treatment of Malaria. which is given to the patient. Apart from this, it is advised to relax.
